Last Night, I witnessed a ton of college prospects accomplish their lifetime goals of being drafted in the NBA. It was a sight to behold, watching their families rejoice and take in the moment of their child achieving their dream of being a NBA player.
When you set a goal and work hard to achieve it, there is no better feeling in the world than that.
To begin, the #1 pick was Markelle Fultz out of the University of Washington.
He’s a three-way scorer: Midrange, Three-pointer, and Finisher at the rim.
He also has great size at 6’4 with 6’10 wingspan, so the Sixers got them their starting point guard of the future.
The #2 pick was Lonzo Ball out of UCLA. He’s a great passer and has great size for his position. he has an unorthodox shot, but it goes in majority of the time. The #3 pick was Jayson Tatum out of Duke University.
He’s a great isolation scorer and can shoot from the perimeter as well. The Celtics need shooting and someone to take off some of the scoring load from Isaiah Thomas, he fits that position well.
He’s very talented, no doubt about that. From #4-30 in the first round, you had some great talent in there. Josh Jackson from Kansas, De’Aaron Fox , Johnathan Isaac, Malik Monk, Luke Kennard, Dennis Smith, Justin Jackson, Bam Adebayo, Terrance Ferguson, Harry Giles, Derrick White, Josh Hart.
To all the Undrafted players, don’t give up hope because you worked endlessly to get to this point and a team will most likely sign you if there’s a need for it. You are going to get an opportunity, so make the most out of it.
This applies to the second-rounders as well. You may not get a lot of playing time, but if you keep working and grinding, you will get a opportunity.
You could be the Next Draymond Green, Isaiah Thomas, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jimmy Butler, Kawhi Leonard, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili.

Congrats to the draftees and for the second-rounders and Undrafted players, keep working because your opportunity is coming.

I’m not a fan of sports but I bet it was amazing to see! I’d definitely be the one shedding a tear to see parents and children so proud of their achievements. Amazing

It just goes to show that through hard you can get beautiful rewards. The parents must have been so happy to see their children become NBA players.

Congrats to the draftees, great review. I’m not big on basketball but I know how big draft days can get especially with such a big sport.

I’m not all that familiar with the NBA, but I can appreciate how these players would have dedicated their lives to getting drafted! I agree with you though for those that didn’t make it, there is always hope 🙂

Although my knowledge of the NBA and their process is very limited, I certainly appreciate all the hard work that goes into this. I love the way you provide great encouragement to those who also have such aspirations.

Ok, I confess that draft hoopla can be invigorating, but I’d like ot learn why some then make it big and others fizzle. Two sides to every story, at least, right?

I love basketball, and watching was one of my most favorite things to do… since I moved overseas this is difficult to do so have to search online and read about it mostly. It’s always amazing see these men who have worked hard their whole lives accomplish their goal of being selected or a professional NBA team!

Congratulations to the draftees. Although their names are not that familiar to me, I would be following them and see how they fare with the NBA. It won’t be until may 2 or 3 more years until they reach their full potential. Congratulations to the proud parents too.
