When you’re a superstar, the stakes are higher and the pressure is intense. It’s really hard being a professional at any sport, any level. The Grind is real out here, no doubt. But when events occur across the country like these past few weeks, you have to make a stand and say something. Right now in America 2017, there is a massive divide and a race issue occurring. Many people struggle to talk about race because it’s a sensitive subject. It going to be spoken about we need to accept that racism still goes on.
Kneeling for the national anthem isn’t disrespecting the flag or the military. The constitution doesn’t say you are required to stand for the national anthem, it’s your choice whether to stand or kneel. Colin Kaepernick Kneeled because there are injustices, racial injustices occuring in the country. That’s the whole reason for this entire movement starting. But, people want to twist it and say ” you’re disrespecting the flag or military”. this was never about the flag or military, it was about Racial injustices, Police Brutality. People are aware of this, but don’t seem to care. these are the same type of people who voted for trump, tell athletes to stick to sports. Well, no more. If don’t like what they have to say, change the channel or do something more productive with your time than complaining about somebody protesting the national anthem. by the way, the national anthem has lines that signify racism and slavery.
