Kristaps Porzingis Rise to Stardom

in the 2015 NBA draft, with the 4th pick, the New York Knicks select Kristaps Porzingis. Instantly, boos started to arise & even a kid started crying. The reason why, the Knicks pick players who aren’t very good or don’t pan out. Granted, he is 7’3.

Everyone was already calling him a bust, scrub, etc. Nobody knew who he was. It didn’t matter to him though, he was ready to work and play hard. In his first season he dazzled everyone with 14 Points, 7 rebounds, 1.3 assists. He put himself on the NBA map after that. The second season he improved more with 18.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists. By now, he took the NBA by storm and left everyone shaking their heads. People now we’re calling him a future all-star and giving him more respect.

Everyone who doubted him, he proved them wrong at each turn. This season in 2017-2018, he is averaging 27.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists. Not bad for someone who was booed & criticized on draft night. Great resilience and work ethic by him. Kristaps Porzingis is a 7 Foot guard who can shoot, defend, pass, etc. he’s a future all-star for sure.

  1. Definitely rare shooting ability for a big man of that size, he’s really enjoyable to watch play, and there looks to not be a limit on his potential. Didn’t realize he was averaging that many points per game this season, (wow!) in addition to averaging over 2 blocks a game and shooting over 40% from the 3 point line.

Honestly looking like a top 10 player all ready. I’m a T Wolves fan and I’d trade Wiggins or Bik Kat for him in a heartbeat (maybe even both if they continue to not improve.)
